How Captain America's 5 Tools For Self - Confidence Can Help

"A life without confidence is no life at all"
- Captain America

Can you hear the Nobility in the voice of Mr. America as he once again saves the world from destruction.

"Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world - "No, you move.""
Captain America

Even as a fictional character created by Joe Simon the principles in which this American hero arose from is parallel to positive thinking. Captain America stand for truth, justice and the American way. He believe he can do anything he puts his mind to in terms of defending this great country. What do you believe in? Have you decided whether you are going to be a sheep or a wolf ? Are you taking life by its horns and creating your destiny instead of living a nightmare?

Do you want to develop a Self - Confidence like Mr. America? Are you interested in how to think positive the American way?

All you have to do is keep 4 things in mind....

1. Ignore the Nay-Sayers

Its no secret Captain America has a great deal of confidence. He is usually seen in red, white and blue spandex carrying around a large shield as a form of defense or a weapon of justice.
While most aren't even confidence enough to ask for a raise let alone fight evil in tight clothing. To gain self confidence you must avoid self pity, negative self talk , criticism from others and self loathing. Never allow other people to make you feel inferior, with their negative comment or remarks. See yourself in your mind as self confident though visualization and positive self talk.
focused on how to think positive and you will attract more positivity.

"No one can make you inferior with out your own consent"
- Eleanor Roosevelt

2. Dress to Impress

We all have insecurities about how we look, its only natural. But you should never let those thoughts control how you feel about yourself. When you don't look good you feel lousy, unattractive, unmotivated and depressed. So, lets use this to our advantage, by changing how we look to increase our self confidence. In most cases, compelling improvements in the departments of bathing, shaving, getting a new haircut or buying new clothes dramatically increases self-confidence.

This doesn't mean, you should go on a shopping spree at your local mall as a way to build self confidence. But it's better to spend twice as much and buy has as less. This means buying more expensive clothes, but less quantity. In the end, buying expensive clothes are beneficial because it last longer, stays in style for quite some time and keeps your closet from looking like the trunk of your car.

3.Work Out

Just as Captain America is always in great shape, so should you. Working out has a major effect on your physical appearance. Making sure your body is in shape goes hand and hand like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on your first day in school. When your out of shape or overweight you feel less energetic, unattractive and insecure. By working out, you increase the blood flow to your brain for more energy, higher self esteem and a clear mind. Disciplining yourself to work out when you don't want to creates a positive mind set and provides you will tons of energy for the day.

4. Fake The Feeling

As the old cliche goes " You better fake until you make it". Pretending as if you have confidence is a powerful tool to develop. As a child, you used to act as if you were a astronaut or police officer all the time. If you act like you have self confidence it will soon become a reality for you. Acting confident will allow you go through the motions as if you were already truly confident. When your confidence is low you feel insecure, ashamed, sad, frustrated and mentally trapped. Acting as if you have confidence on a daily basis will eliminate all these symptoms.

5. Just Add a bit Gratitude

We all have times where our mind are filled with no having enough or feeling insecurities.
This stems from not being thankful for the great things you have now. Focusing your mind on lack instead of being happy for what you currently have creates negativity. By appreciating the things you do have, it creates inner peace with your mind. Being in a state of gratitude not only increases your confidence but attracts more positive events to take place in your life.

"Believe in your country, but believe in yourself"!
- Captain America
