5 Ways A Dropout Can Help you Succeed

"I ended up dropping out of high school. I'm a high school dropout, which I'm not proud to say, ... I had some teachers that I still think of fondly and were amazing to me. But I had other teachers who said, 'You know what? This dream of yours is a hobby. When are you going to give it up?' I had teachers who I could tell didn't want to be there. And I just couldn't get inspired by someone who didn't want to be there"

-Hilary Swank

In a world where its hard to believe in anything now a days.
It's only right that I present to you " the Drop out kid's" 5 ways to develop a belief in your self. ( this blog post is not funded by the Board of Education)

Number #1: You are not defined by your GPA

Approximately 10.5 million students graduate from college with a Bachelors degree every year. In 1993 it was a mere 3.3 million. It has since tripled since then.

But the desire to become better people has thus fallen. Most students believe after you've graduated college you are “successful", Naughty, Naughty, Naughty.

The truth is an MBA, BA or even a PhD, could never replace great imagination and an entrepreneurial spirit.

So if you stuck in a rut; Confused about what to do in your life, remember the only way to seek true success is doing something you love to do. Throwing your whole heart and soul into that activity.

This is true success. This is true happiness. This is how you grow to be an asset in society rather than a liability.

So, what do you enjoy doing? The answer to this is you calling. Trust the message and follow you heart as I have done.

Number #2: What do you really want to do?

We all have been taught since kindergarten to be doctors, lawyers, investment bankers and even psychical therapist. I too wanted to be all those occupations when I was younger. But as I’ve grown up in this society, I came to the realization that the life style I wanted to live could not encompass the salary of these 4 occupations.

Nor did I truly want to be apart of these fine professions. It was just not for me. So as a college dropout “which I’m proud of” I set my sight on new horizons. Till this day I’ve been getting my book together and working on being considered one of the youngest and greatest personal development authors of my time.

Each and every day I dedicate hour, after hour after hour putting my all into my BIG DREAMS. Its the only thing which motivates me and keeps me alive.

What do you want to do?

Who do you want to become?

Ask yourself these questions, and the answer will lead you down a path Alice wouldn't dare fall into.

Number #3: You can do it

Most of us, like myself have never received encouragement from anyone, unless it was by mistake. I learned early on as you should, that you'll never need anyone to congratulate you on your endeavors.

I know it may be great to have encouragement and you should but you don't need it. Trust yourself. Believe you can do. All you need is yourself at the end of the day.

One you have developed this attitude you will be unstoppable; a force to be reckoned with. Today, if people are telling you can't, or you won't. Stand tall in front of the mirror, loud and proud, with the conviction of a navy pilot about to risk his life for the country he loves so dearly and say:

I CAN DO IT AND I WILL DO IT BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN MY SELF!

Say this over and over again, and you will most certainly succeed at anything you put your heart upon. For whatever the mind can conceive and believe it can most certainly achieve.

Number#4: End Wishful thinking

We all wish for good things to happen to us in our lives. But the only thing which will guarantee a great life, good financial standing and a mouth that spews only administration for yourself and others is a Positive attitude.

You have to develop a positiveBold

attitude as I have. Outsidersmay look at this blog and say "How is he different from everybody else? How can he help me change my life, he's only a kid". I smile these comments off and know as long as I keep my mind on my ultimate goal for this blog, my website which I’m building currently and the consistency of thought, I will reach my GOAL.

Do the same. Take action. And you too one day will achieve you DREAMS.

Number #5: Have some fun why don't you

Many times people take life too seriously they for get to live in the present moment. We end up following the 3 box rule and die slowly of old age or an intolerable sickness.

The 3 box rule if you’re not familiar with is this. Phase 1: We are educated for 12 - 16 years so we are able to work in society. Phase 2: We work hard, setting up some type of living standards so we can be financially free. Phase 3: We retire as an adult and wait to die.

I was brain washed myself into this phrase, but broke out of American societal norms. I live my life carefree of the opinion of other while working hard towards my big dreams.

And as long as I keep trucking I will reach my stop someday.

Take a rest.

Then keep going to the next one.

But I never take myself too seriously to enjoy the day or even smile and laugh at my blunders. Do the same and you too will be able to change the way you look at things. And when you do, the things you look at also change. ( Wayne Dyer)

Has this Dropout kid helped you in any way?

DragonBall Z Meets Personal Development Part 1

I must win! I WILL NOT LET YOU BEAT ME!
-Goku

Welcome to a # part Saga of Dragon Ball Z meets Personal development. Without Further a due, lets listen in closely to the author!

Besides being my favorite Japanese Anime of all time. Dragon ball z is a show written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama. Originally serialized as a Weekly Shonen Jump from 1984 to 1995, and later publishes into 42 tankobon volumes by Shueisha. This series is inspired by the Chinese folk novel Journey to the West, It follows the adventures of Son Goku from his childhood through adulthood as he trains in martial arts and explores the world in search of the seven mystical objects known as the Dragon Balls, which can summon a wish-granting dragon. Along his journey, Goku meets several friends and fights against several villains who also seek the dragon balls. This later evolving into Dragon ball GT.

This weekend I reached season 3, when i realized several things. Those who move surpassed the most challenging obstacles in life are those people who have an insatiable desire to achieve.

For example: Goku ( main character), is challenged by legendary warrior Freeza. Freeza's mission to Destroy planet Namek, find the dragon balls and wish himself to immortality. But Goku's best friends are on planet namek on the same mission but with a worthy cause. They want to bring there friends back to life, who were killed saving planet earth several years ago. From the Get go Goku's master ( King KAi), told him to avoid Freeza at all cost. He said the fight with Freeza was surpassed his capabilities and he would die if he tried.

But as fate had it, Freeza was inescapable. Goku's friends were in danger of getting killed, so he had no choice , but to fight this evil doer. Considered to be a fool by his own teahcer and friends as well, Goku stepped up to the plate to defend those he loved so dearly.
Including his best friend Krillen and his 10 year old son Gohan.

Always being a person who never placed a limit on his potential. After tireless fighting and the death of his best friend Krillen Goku was able to evolve surpassed tribal conditioning's and defeat Freeza for good. Savng his friends from further torment.

So what separates Goku from the rest?

I believe we all have a bit of Goku inside of us. Each of us has the ability to do more than we think we can. Moving beyond what those say is possible and fight for something greater than our selves by taking our powers to the next level. Goku's desire to win this battle was beyond boiling point, It was mandatory. He had to win if he wanted to bring his friends back to life, hold on to his wife one more time or see his kid Gohan before he starts school next year. His Why was bigger than his How. And this is how he defeated freiza.

What has Goku Taught me?

1. We are only limited by what we think we can do. Like Henry Ford said" If you think you can or you think you can't your right". Most warriors who have challenged freeza have died, why? They were defeated in there minds already before they even attempted to pick a fight with him. Goku on the other hand, even tough told it was impossible to defeat freeza was willing to try. Willing to do what ever it took, to change this fact into a possibly. For as Goku said himself " When there's a will there's a way".

2. It was once said " when the WHY is big enough, the HOW doesn't matter'. Goku's why was the fate of the whole universe, including his loving wife Che che, best friend Krillen, and son Gohan. Everyone on planet earth conscious of unconscious of the battle was riding on his courage and bravery to press on no matter what. He had a big enough why which take care of the hows on levels he never thought existed.

What are some of your whys for succeeding beyond you possible "Limit"?

3. Goku persevered no matter the obstacle. Even as a little boy training he was able to keep pushing no matter what. He never gave into any thing, not even once. Well, maybe his wife's good loving. ( smile). But the point is Goku always believed in the possible when others believed in impossibility. He believes in what i can the Winston Churchill motto ( never, ever ever give up). You so the same.

4. Goku always felt his purpose was to protect and serve. To protect and serve those who couldn't do so themselves. Even if it meant scarifying his own body for a cause greater than himself. By any mean possible, he did what he could no matter what. The good guy attitude we all should embody. Aware from negativity into the light of positivity is the attitude Goku hold. How many times did you smile today?

5. Goku being a sayian ( Race of people from outer space) has never been satisfied where he's at. Always moving onward in search of perfection. Goku spends his day training hard, hard, hard. To be the best you have to work as if your the best. Believing in himself has always been an attribute which separated goku from the masses (Like begin from outer space was not enough).
He has always believed in the possibility when there seems to be impossibility. Always moving forward, never looking back at yesterday and being in the present moment is what make Goku one of a kind. May you too should be in search of perfection. As the saying goes " Never be afraid to fall from the sky my friend". Keep your head height to the sky, feet on the ground and our mind on the moon.

- Thank you and God Bless

Is there a bit of Goku in you?
